How the fence estimate works

Divide the fence length by your post spacing to get the number of sections, then add one post to close the run. Wood fences are usually spaced 6 to 8 feet, about 1.8 to 2.4 metres. Each post is typically set with about two bags of fast setting post mix, though deeper or wider holes need more. Gates and corners change the count, so adjust for your layout.
